The Support Group „Violeta” for Persons Diagnosed with Breast Cancer has been established in 2006, within the OncoHelp Association, based on the initiative of a group formed of oncologists and former breast cancer patients.

The common desire of the oncologists and of the coordinators of this group was to meet the needs of persons diagnosed with breast cancer, through creating a securing framework, where they could develop their therapeutic activities, with the goal to calm and heal the wounds of the soul.

The support group is formed of more than 70 active members. Each week a meeting of the group takes place within the OncoHelp Association, with more than 20 persons participating, who are diagnosed with cancer. The group activities are:

- psychological counselling and individual and group psycho-therapy,
- therapy through art: painting, clay modelling, handmade products etc.,
- physical exercises for rehabilitation, adapted to the needs and capacities of each individual,
- organisation and participation at events such as exhibitions, conferences, etc.
- meetings with specialists from different fields, who should answer the questions of the group members;

Due to the growing number of members, the frequency of the meetings and the numerous own projects, the Support Group „Violeta” for Persons Diagnosed with Breast Cancer is nowadays considered to be one of the most active support groups for cancer patients in the country.
