Running Projects
The role of the non-invasive biomarkers in the early diagnose of prostate cancer and the chemo-prevention in the models of prostate cancer.
This project has been started within the Programme of Cross-border Cooperation Hungary – Romania 2007-2013. The general goal of this project consists in developing cross-border cooperation in the field of medical research and innovation.
Integrated measures of socio-professional inclusion of breast cancer patients.
The OncoHelp Association has submitted a project for the PRIORITY AXIS 6. Promotion of social inclusion, 6.1. Development of the social economy, called: Integrated measures of socio-professional inclusion of breast cancer patients. This project is co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Sector Operational Programme Development of Human Resources 2007-2013. At present the project is submitted and its evaluation is in progress.
Creation of the „AVON” Pilot Centre of Early Breast Cancer Detection within the OncoHelp Oncology Centre.
The Oncohelp Clinic wishes to become a pilot centre for diagnose and treatment of breast cancer in the western area, due to the large number of diagnosed cases at yet younger age and in advanced stages.
Right now the only equipment of the clinic regarding the CT is an old ultrasound from 1989, quipped with 2 sounds (linear and convex).
Since the inauguration of the centre, the request for examination is increasing continuously, so that a better ultrasound is needed to allow a good diagnose and an early monitoring of the lesions, for an evaluation of the efficiency of the oncologic treatment.
To become a pilot centre for diagnosis and treatment, it is necessary to equip the OncoHelp Centre with a mammograph, an ultrasound and a high quality CT.
With this equipment the clinic can participate at the national campaign for breast cancer screening when its starts. The mammal pathology will be diagnosed (through mammography, ultrasound and interventional gestures with ultrasound and mammographic control) and there will be a collaboration with surgeons for the repair of the lesions under ultrasound or mammographic control and for the reduction of the invasive surgery on the breast.
Our most important intention is, however, to establish a regional programme of breast cancer screening.
Earlier projects
The Oncology Centre OncoHelp
Founding the OncoHelp Oncology Centre for patients with a specific pathology was one of the most important projects of the OncoHelp Association. It was possible thanks to the help of more than 100 sponsors, among which: Avon Cosmetics Romania, Rotary Club Cetate and Asociaţia Femeilor Antreprenori din România (Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Romania). The centre represents an alternative to the existing medical system through the free quality services offered to all the insured persons.
Printing and distributing an information brochure for the cancer patients.
The OnchoHelp Association has participated in the Financing Programme Development of the Civil Society with the project Printing and distributing an information brochure for the cancer patients, FOR no. 063 / 27.09.2005. The duration of the project was of 6 months (01.10.2005 – 31.03.2006). The general goal of the project was to improve the life quality of the cancer patients through their information regarding the different physical aspects of their disease. The specific goals were to raise the patients compliance to the treatment, the possibility for the patients to understand the treatments they undergo, education of the patients regarding minimizing the side effects of the oncologic treatment. Based on the recommendations received from the Evaluation Committee, FORNETTI ROMÂNIA decided to finance the project of the OncoHelp Association, so that 1.000 copies of the brochure Cancer and Chemotherapy have been printed. These brochures have been distributed to 40% by the out-patient's oncologic clinic OncoMed in Timişoara and tp 60% by other profile units in the Timiş district.
