YOU CAN HELP

2011 is the Year of Volunteering in Europe, a year in which the call for volunteering for people is heard louder and louder all over the world. Don't hesitate to help people that suffer, even if you consider it as an insignificant gesture. The time and resources you sacrifice from other personal activities count more than you think for the people in need.

As we are a non-profit organisation, our attention is drawn by charity actions used to diagnose and treat the cancer patients.

Because we have to treat the patients without the Health Insurance reimbursing all the services we provide, we inform you that we always need generous persons who are willing to dedicate a part of their spare time for our fund raising activities. We need these funds to be able to provide a proper climate to the cancer patients who seek our help and services.

In this respect the OncoHelp Association needs volunteers for activities such as FUND RAISING
Working time: about 8 hours / week.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• The volunteer needs to be a student (including master students)
• It is an advantage to have some previous experience in fund raising and / or public relations
• Availability for field activities (going to the premises of the association and of the companies)
• Constancy in the volunteering activity (long term involvement)
• Initiative
• Creativity
• Dynamism
• Communication ability, persuasion

Why volunteering?

• because you care of the problems of people in distress;
• because you feel you are a part of a solution
• to do a good thing;
• to be together with people who share the same values;
• because you appreciate volunteering as being something valuable;
• to feel necessary and useful in the fight against cancer.
